Cute Executive Officer Is Back in Business With Spring 2023 Sequel

Najimu Mujina, a 5 year old girl who is also the CEO of a major company, reveals their latest product - an electric hot pot dish that appeals to giant roosters and alligators - in a scene from the upcoming Cute Executive Officer R web anime.

Business is about to pick up, because Cute Executive Officer (known as Youjo Shachou in Japan), a web anime series based on the surreal office comedy manga by Odeko Fujii about a 5 year old girl who is also the head of a major corporation, is returning for a second series in the spring season of 2023.

The new series is entitled Youjo Shachou R (literally "Little Girl Boss R"), and new cast additions have been revealed, including:

  • Ikumi Hasegawa as Yoshine Fudou.
  • Yui Ogura as Rau Okano.
  • Akio Ōtsuka as Mugaku Homaoka.
  • ???? as Yamada-san.
  • And ???? as Dokutakomaru.

A key visual for the upcoming Cute Executive Officer R web anime series, featuring the main cast of characters bursting in a chaotic scene from the roof of the Mujina Company building accompanied by stars, streamers, and a pink cloud of tokusatsu smoke.

The original Youjo Shachou manga is serialized on KADOKAWA's ComicWalker website. Similar to the first series, Cute Executive Officer R features direction by Kazuya Iwata and animation production by project No.9. HIDIVE currently streams the first series of Cute Executive Officer, and describes the story of the series as follows:

Najimu Mujina might be an ordinary little girl, but she scored a totally above-average job as the president and “CEO” of the Mujina Company — and that makes her the cutest executive officer around!
