The official website for Bushiroad's multimedia franchise BanG Dream! has announced that the concert event "BanG Dream! Special☆LIVE Girls Band Party! 2020→2021," which was scheduled to be held at MetLife Dome in Saitama Prefecture on June 5 and 6, 2021, has been decided to be postponed to a future date due to the impact of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Tokyo metropolitan area and the government's declaration of a state of emergency.
This is the second postponement for the franchise's all-star concert. Under the title "BanG Dream! Special☆LIVE Girls Band Party! 2020," it was originally scheduled to be held at the same venue on May 3, 2020, but had been postponed for one year.
The official website writes, "We announced the postponement of the concert last year, and after that, we were finally able to inform you that it would be rescheduled. However, due to the situation of the new coronavirus, we were forced to postpone the concert this time as well, and we apologize for the inconvenience this may cause to those who were looking forward to it. We have made this decision with the health of our audience, cast and staff as our top priority, and we ask for your understanding in this matter."
If the situation recovers in the future and the organizer is able to hold a concert of the same scale, a new schedule will be announced.
