During Sony's State of Play virtual keynote Square-Enix announced the forthcoming release of an updated version of Final Fantasy VII Remake for the still-scarce PlayStation 5 in Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. The PlayStation 5 version will be sold as a standalone game owing to the inclusion of fan favorite thief Yuffie in a console exclusive chapter, while those upgrading from the PS4 version will be able to upgrade at no additional charge, but must purchase the Yuffie chapter separately. The game will be available on June 10th and is now available for pre-order directly from Square-Enix. In addition, Square-Enix also announced two companion Final Fantasy VII Remake mobile games in The First Soldier, a battle royale game releasing later this year and Ever Crisis, a new free-to-play interpretation of the Final Fantasy VII saga, complete with in-game purchases for additional chapters:
