Another cast member in a dual-role has been revealed for Shadows House, an upcoming TV anime based on the Gothic supernatural manga by somato about a group of shadow people inhabiting a mysterious mansion and the "living doll" attendants who serve as their faces and their caretakers.
In Shadows House, voice actor Kodai Sakai plays the dual-role of John, a Shadow, and Sean, John's living doll attendant. John is described as having a boisterous and guileless personality, while Sean is serious and extremely capable, accomplishing any task swiftly and accurately.
Serialized since 2018 in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump, Shadows House is set in a mysterious, Western-style mansion populated by a clan of "Shadows" who imitate the trappings of human aristocracy. The Shadows have no faces of their own, so they are attended by "living dolls" who act as their caretakers. The story follows Emilyko, a living doll, and Kate Shadow, the Shadow whom Emilyko serves.
The Shadows House TV anime is directed by Kazuki Ohashi and features animation production by CloverWorks. Shadows House is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan in April of 2021.
