Story: https://t.co/GnTLMpJGgQ $ — Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) August 27, 2019 Rosenthal reports that, while it is unknown if the two sides are close to a deal, discussions have occurred between the Glass family and a group headed by Sherman. Sherman is a Kansas City native with a long history of philanthropy and entrepreneurship in the city. The 2009 UMKC Bloch School of Business Entrepreneur of the Year serves on the board of directors for multiple organizations, including The Truman Presidential Library Institute. Sherman became a minority investor in the Cleveland Indians in 2016 and is currently vice-chairman of the team. After years of helming the management group of the team, Glass officially bought the Royals in 2000 for $86 million.
