Trump’s Baltimore Tweets Should Move Dems to Debate Urban Decay The editorial page editor at the Detroit News wrote about the “upside” to President Donald Trump’s recent tweets about rat infestation and violent crime in Baltimore as giving Democrats an on-ramp to talk about urban decay, including at the debates taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday in Detroit where 70,000 abandon buildings are still standing and black homeownership being reduced to 40 percent today from 51 percent since 2000. Yeah, right. First they’d have to admit they’ve been in charge of these shitholes for the past fifty years or more. In Detroit, the last GOP mayor served his final year in 1962. Not that the Democrat operatives with microphones who will be tossing them softball questions will ever bring that up.
