A new trailer (below), a new key visual (above), and the Japanese broadcast schedule have been revealed for Grimms Notes The Animation, an upcoming TV anime based on the smart phone RPG developed by Square Enix (and published in the U.S. by FLERO Games) about heroes who channel the power of fairy tales to vanquish evil forces.
In the Grimms Notes smart phone game, players control famous fairy tale characters (such as Snow White, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, etc.) as they attempt to prevent the "Chaos Writers" from twisting the fate of these stories to their own dark purposes.
In the world of Grimms Notes The Animation, everyone is born with a "book of destiny" that determines their future. However, when Ex is born, the pages of his book are blank, so he sets off on a quest with a group of companions with similarly blank books in order to discover to his fate.
Grimms Notes The Animation is directed by Shizutaka Sugahara and features animation production by Brain's Base. The series will broadcast in Japan on TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting System) on Thursdays during the 25:58 time slot beginning on January 10, 2019 with an additional broadcast to follow on BS-TBS on Saturdays during 26:30 time slot beginning on January 12, 2019.
