The King of Beasts and a human girl - their extraordinary love story will change the world.
TV anime "Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts" will air on Wednesday, April 19th 2023 at 24:00 on TOKYO MX and BS11!#niehime https://t.co/EXCejMnLF1
Based on manga by Yu Tomofuji, Chiaki Kon will direct (Sailor Moon Crystal Season 3) the anime at studio J.C.Staff, with series composition by Seishi Minakami (A Certain Scientific Railgun series), character designs by Shinya Hasegawa (Golden Time) and music by Kohta Yamamoto (Attack on Titan Final Season). Kana Hanazawa (Mitsuri Kanroji in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) will voice Sariphi, with Satoshi Hino (Sai in Naruto Shippuden) playing Leonhart as the two leads.
Crunchyroll announced in December that it will stream the new series with the following summary:
The King of the Beasts and Demons regularly receives female human sacrifices to eat in order to assert the dominance of his people over the human race. However, for the 99th sacrifice, the human girl brought to the capital, Sariphi, intrigues the Beast King. In fact she isn't afraid of him or any other beast and even accepts her death without begging or crying as she has neither home nor family to return to if she were released. The King finds her intriguing and let her stay at his side as his consort despite being human. This is the story of how Sariphi will become the queen of the demons and beasts.
