Sometimes the dying wish of a hero results in unexpected results, or at least that's the case in Eiyuu-ou, Bu wo Kiwameru tame Tensei su, ~Soshite Sekai Saikyou no Minarai Kishi♀~ ("The Hero King, In Order to Master the Art of War, Reincarnates and Becomes the World's Strongest Lady Knight-in-Training"), an isekai fantasy light novel series that is being adapted into a mini web anime in November of 2020.
The mini web anime features voice actors Akari Kitō as Inglis, the heroine, and Ai Kakuma as Lafinia, Inglis's childhood friend. The first episode of the mini web anime will be published on the official Comic Fire Twitter feed (@comic_fire_hj) on November 07, 2020, and the second episode will be published there on November 14, 2020.
The original Eiyuu-ou, Bu wo Kiwameru tame Tensei su, ~Soshite Sekai Saikyou no Minarai Kishi♀~ light novels are written by Hayaken, illustrated by Nagu, and published in Japan by HobbyJapan. A manga adaptation of the series with artwork by Moto Kuromura is also serialized on HobbyJapan's Comic Fire website.
The story of the series follows Inglis, a mighty divine warrior who forges a kingdom through his own martial efforts and the blessings of a goddess. Although Inglis defends his kingdom until he eventually succumbs to old age, on his death bed he laments that he wishes he could have lived more freely and dedicated himself entirely to studying the art of war. His wish is granted, and Inglis reincarnates in the far future...as the daughter of a famous knight!
Inglis is initially surprised by this development, but she soon discovers that her new identity is very convenient, especially since she's deemed to be poor knight material at age six and is thus able to pursue her martial studies as she sees fit. And so Inglis dedicates herself to learning through real triumphs on the battlefield rather than knightly intrique and politicking, and the legend of the world's strongest beautiful girl knight-in-training is born.
