Precure Franchise Looks Back on Its Twenty-year History in Special PV

 

 

The official YouTube channel for Toei Animation's long-running Precure anime franchise has released a 100-second special PV for its 20th anniversary. The video introduces the Precures that have appeared throughout the 20-year history, telling how they have supported the dreams of girls. The franchise's first installment Furari wa Precure started airing in Japan on February 1, 2004.

The "Precure 20th Anniversary Song" featured in the clip is "Tokimeki" (excitement, throbbing) provided by Japanese pop rock duo Ikimonogakari. Its member Yoshiki Mizuno says, "I am very honored to be involved in a work that has a long history and has been loved for twenty years," and "I hope that those who have been watching Precure since 2004 and those who are watching it now will enjoy this year's memorial year with the music of Ikimonogakari."
